The UK Government has announced the easing of the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions with regard to any activities required for the purposes of renting or selling of property.

Following this announcement we are pleased to confirm that we are resuming Building Surveying Services.

Cryer Surveying takes its responsibilities for the Health, Safety and Welfare of its employees, clients and general public very seriously. We have put in place a series of measures, in line with government guidance, to ensure, as far as reasonably practical, the prevention of the spread of the Corona Virus, during the current pandemic crisis. Constant monitoring will be carried out and working practices will be updated as situations arise and government guidance changes.

Cryer Surveying Ltd has implemented the following Safe Working Practices :-

  • No surveys will be carried out should the surveyor or anyone at the property exhibit symptoms of having a medical condition that could be linked to the Corona virus.

  • No surveys will be carried out should the occupants of the property be in self isolation.

  • The survey is pre-arranged with the full agreement of the occupants/owners of the property and/or agents acting on their behalf.

  • Our surveyor/s will wear a mask and gloves at all times during the survey as well as any other PPE, deemed appropriate at the time.

  • Our surveyor/s will wash their hands at a portable hand wash station prior to attending and after leaving the property.

  • The company respectfully requests that during the survey we all maintain social distancing (as per government guidelines) and where possible for occupants to leave any room where the surveyor/s is working.

  • The company is restricting its services to one survey per day. This is to ensure that all equipment and clothing can be thoroughly cleaned prior to any further surveys being carried out

As a result of these safety measures there may be a longer than usual lead in period for undertaking and completing surveys. If this affects our ability to continue with a survey we will, of course, inform all clients at the earliest opportunity.
